Julio's Story...
Meet handsome Julio, a unique doxie boy with a touch of cocker! Julio, 8 years, 18 pounds, has the most beautiful, shiny long hair coat and a good bit of doxie personality! He's initially wary of meeting men but was easily won over by his foster dad. Julio gets along with the other dogs in his foster home but can clash with another male. Julio was raised on a farm and really enjoys being out in the yard. He does not mind rain or snow and entertains himself by watching wildlife and running alongside another foster while she chases balls! He's basically a chill guy who likes to hang out. Please reach out and/or submit an application to adopt at http://www.almosthomerescue.org/onlineforms/adoptform.htm Julio's adoption fee is $200 to help rescue.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Julio, a Andalusia Dachshund/Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Cocker Spaniel for sale in Andalusia, or seeking a Dachshund/Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Andalusia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Andalusia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Andalusia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Dachshund/Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Andalusia paves the way for another one to be saved.
