Sidney - Special Needs's Story...
Sidney is a 6 year old terrier mix that is very shy and needs a very special home. She was never allowed out of her backyard and therefore not well socialized. She gets along with other dogs, especially males. She was left alone and allowed to chew on rocks and all of her teeth are worn down. She was covered in fleas at the time of her rescue and does have a skin condition related to the flea infestation. This will clear up and the fleas have been treated and are gone. Sidney is looking for an adult only home that is laid back and quiet. She will do best with someone who is home throughout the day to help her learn about life beyond the backyard. If you are that special someone please give us a call! You can find an adoption application at Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sidney - Special Needs, a Bend Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Bend, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Bend.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bend already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bend breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bend paves the way for another one to be saved.
