Little Sweetie's Story...
Hello my name is Little Sweetie and I am a sweet inquisitive stunning girl. I love to look at all the things going on around me. I am not a fan of being picked up, but I enjoy attention from people I know and love. Will you be that person? I need a home that has lots of patience to work with me so that I can learn to trust people more. I am shy and was transferred here from a rescue group that found me abandoned as a kitten. I would do best in a quiet adult home where I can watch all of the sights out the window -- safe in a loving home. I had lived with a dog and did not do well and i don't care for the company of the other cats too much, I prefer being the only one so you and I can get to know each other! Please come on by and spend some time with me and I am sure you will fall in love.

Before making the trip to visit the shelter we strongly recommend checking our website for information on adoption policies and procedures. Please understand that because we are a busy place and because so many animals need our care and attention, adoptions are on a first come basis and no animal will be put on hold. To inquire about a pet's availability or for more information, we encourage you to visit our shelter in person. Due to the high volume of interest, email and phone inquiries may not be returned on a daily basis. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to your visit! www.capeannanimalaid.org 978-283-6055 ex 10 for reception desk

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Little Sweetie, a Gloucester Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gloucester, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Gloucester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gloucester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gloucester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gloucester paves the way for another one to be saved.
