Here's what the humans have to say about me:
5 - 6 month old Slim has come a long way since he was rescued. There was no intentional abuse on his owner's part - - - but this little fellow had been locked away inside one room, almost eaten alive by fleas and intestinal parasites, and had no idea what the big world outside offered him. He is now crate trained, is used to a leash (though I won't say he's crazy about it), and has become very much more social. He is still skeptical of strangers initially, but warms up with just a little time and patience. His brother, Jessie, is also available for adoption, and fees will be reduced if someone adopts both puppies, though that is not required. He is too young for neutering at this time, so will be adopted out on a neuter contract. There will be an additional deposit of $100 due at time of adoption (total $375) which will be refunded upon proof of neuter. If interested in adopting Slim, please submit an application which you can find on our website (www.almostheaven-golden-retriever-rescue.org) Please - this puppy will not be adopted to families with children under age 8.
