Maisy is a gorgeous Golden darling who just turned 3 years old this month. She is good with children, other dogs and ignores the cat she lives with.  Her family is very sad to have to say goodbye but their children with special needs are requiring more attention and they feel it's not fair to Maisy.  She is good on a leash and enjoys her walks. She loves to swim and play fetch with balls and tug on a rope toy.  A playful, happy and loving personality of a girl that just wants to have fun as a member of a very lucky family.

Prior to adoption, all AGR dogs are given a full vet exam, including valley fever and heartworm tests, brought up to date on all vaccinations, given a microchip, neutered or spayed, and treated for any medical problems.

About Arizona Golden Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Arizona Golden Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit, charitable organization whose mission is to rescue displaced Golden Retrievers and mostly-Golden mixes that may have been abused, abandoned, neglected or unwanted or surrendered by their owners due to previously unforeseen circumstances, and find new, permanent homes for them. Rescued dogs are given a complete veterinary exam and their vaccines are updated; they are also microchipped, spayed or neutered, and tested for valley fever and heartworm. AGR provides emotional and medical rehabilitation and will pay for medications and for necessary surgeries. Through education at public appearances, AGR seeks to educate the public about the Golden Retriever breed and about responsible dog ownership, in order to help reduce the unwanted dog population.

Our Adoption Process...

Please note that all adoptable dogs remain on the website until their adoptions are finalized. As hard as we try to screen the adoptable dogs and their new potential "Forever Home", there is always the possibility that the FWITA (Foster With Intent To Adopt) and the adoptable dog are not compatible and then the dog would return to adoptable status"

Application must be submitted; can be downloaded from website. Home evaluation is done. Once approved, applicant must wait for placement of dog. If fostering with intent to adopt, applicant must pay membership fee (minimum $25 for single, $40 for household) and dog's adoption fee, which ranges from $350 for 0-2-year-old, to $325 for 2-5, $300 for 5- 9 and $250 for over 9. Organization covers all vet costs while dog is in foster care and until adoption is finalized.
