Star's Story...
Hi my name is Star! I found myself abandoned outside at a very young age and I wound up getting Pregnant. When it was time for me to have my babies I went onto a publix loading dock where luckily someone saw me! They got me to St Francis where I've been raising my babies. Shortly after coming into foster care I was asked to take on 4 orphaned babies who were dropped off at the emergency vet, of course I said yes! So I raised 9 little ones. Now it's time for me to find my forever home! My extremely affectionate and I am always twining around my foster moms legs purring. Something unique about me, I love to drink from the faucet! Every time someone goes to wash their hands or brush their teeth I hop up to get some water! I hope there's a forever family out there somewhere for me! Love, Star

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Star, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
