My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I'm Journey's foster Mom. I wanted to tell you about my latest four legged kid :) Journey is a 21 month old Black Lab mix. What the mix is we don't know, a large breed of some sort is our best guess.

This big boy came to us in pretty sad shape. He was an owner surrender living in an outdoor pen with three other dogs and hadn't been taken care of very well. Journey was a bag of bones and weighed only 55 pounds, he had a flea infestation, and patches of fur missing from malnutrition. Due to a poor sporadic diet he was just plain tired and worn down.

Journey is now a healthy 63 pounds, his fur has grown back in and the fleas are long gone.  His stamina and energy have returned in full force. Journey is a happy boy and loves to cuddle. He really thinks that he is a lap dog and tries his best to fit himself there. Journey is always overjoyed to see you when you come home from work and soaks up all the love and attention that we can give him.

I have three dogs and he gets along with all of them, he is even able to coax my old grumpy male into play! Journey loves all 4 legged critters, dog, puppies, cats, he does ok with all of them. Journey hasn’t been around kids a lot but we do know that once kids start to giggle all he wants to do is crawl in their lap and give them puppy kisses!

Journey caught on to house training very quickly. He is a really good boy in the house and also crate trained.

Journey does love to run at top speed now that he is feeling better so a fence yard would be best for this boy to help work off his new found energy.

Journey is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, heartworm tested, and microchipped.  He is all set to find his forever home and settle in.
