With a name like Cupcake, you know I am the sweetest little cat ever! I am a young (2 years old), healthy, front-declawed Tuxedo cat. I have been spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated and litter trained. I am a very well behaved, clean little cat. I can be a little bit shy when I first meet you, but I soon warm up, and am very affectionate. Snuggling is one of my favorite activities! (Closely followed by purring up a storm!)

Declawed Tuxedo Cat For Adoption in St. Louis MO

I live in Wildwood, MO, close to St. Louis, but would be happy to relocate for the right adopters. I get along just fine with other pets, just so long as they are fine with me. I am good with adults and older kids. The only think that really terrifies me are toddlers! Yikes! Keep those little terrors away from me, please. They are so noisy, unpredictable and potentially harmful to us cats. It is simply self-preservation that makes me avoid them!

And that leads me to the reason I am looking for a good home…. Little kids.

My owners love me so much. They had hoped that I would be a kid-friendly cat, but I run and hide whenever their child is in my midst, and with another one on the way, this just isn’t the ideal situation for me. They are dearly hoping to find me an adults only home where I will be cherished. I am such a lovely little kitty and will shine in the right home. Let’s face it – I am just NOT a “kiddy kat”.

My ideal home will be with a single or couple who are absolute cat lovers. I would be best suited to a home with no other pets, so that I can be the center of attention and really come out of my shell. But if you have a cat or dog (or both) I would be happy to join them, just so long as they are accepting of me. When you first meet me, I will probably come across as shy, but that is just because I need time to get to know you. Because I have been front-declawed, it is extremely important that I be kept indoors at all times in a safe, calm, quiet and friendly environment.

Please open your heart and home to me. I will lavish you with attention and companionship. I love to sit in your lap, snuggle up to you in bed, talk to you, and make you feel special.

I will bring all my kitty stuff with me to my new home, along with my vet records and the sincere appreciation of my owners.

About St. Louis Find My Pet A Home

About Our Rescue Group...

In many locations throughout the USA and Canada, shelters are rescues are filled to capacity, leaving pet owners who can no longer care for their pet with nowhere to turn. Many pets are needlessly being euthanized.

Being placed in a shelter is a very stressful experience for all pets - and their owners. We offer a very good alternative, allowing pets to stay in the loving care of their owners while a new home is located for them.

We have helped many pet owners in need to place their pet in a home where they have great peace of mind in knowing that their pet is being cherished, well cared for and kept safe, happy and healthy.

Come Meet Our Pets...

In most instances, our pets stay with their owners until a new home can be located. There are some situations which require a more urgent placement, and in these instances, we look for loving foster homes to care for these pets until a permanent home can be located.

Our Adoption Process...

When a pet is placed with our organization, our staff create a very honest and compelling adoption story about the pet, using the information provided to us.

We then spread the word about this pet's need for a new home through a wide variety of online services, and through local outreach.

Interested parties are directed to fill out a formal request to meet a pet, providing in-depth information about themselves.

Before a potential adopter is introduced to a pet, we do careful reference screening and a criminal records check.

Should the pet's owner and the adoptive party agree to an adoption, a formal agreement is entered into, requiring the new owner to agree to keep in touch, ensure the pet's physical and emotional well-being, and provide a safe, happy and healthy home.

They are required to agree that they will not surrender the pet to a shelter or give away the pet - but rather they are to contact our organization so that we can find another suitable home, in the event that they are unable to fulfill their commitment.

The owners deliver the pet to the new owners, so that they can do a home inspection prior to leaving the pet in the new owner's care.

Our organization provides follow-up services, contacting the new owners after the first week, and then every 45 days for the first nine months post-adoption. This helps ensure the pet is being well cared for, and that the new owners have any support they need in adjusting to life with their new companion,
