A volunteer writes: What a difference a day makes! On my first encounter with Gravy, she didn''t seem like she wanted to be my friend. I wanted to be hers though-she is so stinkin'' adorable, it''s hard to not want to become BFF''s with her right away! Tiny, cropped eared, with a mousey nose and the sweetest eyes, it''s apparent she''s had a litter or two in her short life, and her skin is bumpy, possibly from allergies or bug bites. The next day, when I approached her kennel, she was wagging and eager to go out. I would have never expected what an absolute cuddle bug she is! After walking so that she could relieve herself, I sat on the ground, and she almost instantaneously climbed into my lap! She was wiggling so much in my lap that her legs would flail off my legs and she''d nuzzle her face into the crook of my arm, butt up in the air, probably making a hysterical sight. At one point she sniffed out the treats in my pocket and pulled some out, only to chew on them quickly, spit them out, and grab some more again, starting the process all over. When I gave her a toy, she pounced around the yard squeaking it, shaking her head, but never destroyed it. Her former owner noted that Gravy spent most of her time in the back yard, tied up, but was affectionate toward the 2-year old child she lived with and loved to follow him around when in the house. Though she''s never lived with cats or dogs, she''d probably do well in a home with another dog that has the same gentle play style as she does. I could go on and on about how great Gravy is, but you''ll have to come find out for yourself. Ask to meet her today!
