Corky was rescued from a hoarding situation along with 90+ other dogs. He lived indoors all his life in a small house with no ventilation and filled in feces and urine. He is very active and loves to run and play as if it's his first day of freedom from his horrible past. He also loves to lay and cuddle. He is a super dog who is housetrained and crate trained. He needs an active family. He does well with respectful children. He has been dealt a lousy hand in life but has handled himself well. He is such a happy and loving boy! We know there is a loving home out there for this sweet boy!

He has had a rabies shot, 7-way shot, bordetella and wormed. He is neutered, microchipped and heartworm tested. He came to the shelter 5/15 and is in a foster home.

Our adoption fee is $130.00 and it helps to cover a portion of the dog's vetting costs. The adoption process includes the completion of an application followed by an interview.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Please have a look at our available pups. If you see one you are interested in, contact us to set an appointment OR visit us at the Pet Food Center North on First Avenue in Evansville on Sunday between 11am and 4pm! Our shelter is a privately-owned kennel, therefore it is not open to the public. Viewing of dogs is by appointment only.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process consists of an adoption application followed by an interview. Upon arriving at the shelter, each dog receives a Bordetella shot, DHPPC vaccination and worming. At the veterinarian's office, our dogs receive a rabies vaccination, a spay or neuter surgery, and are tested for heartworm. If a dog tests positive, we treat the dog and then retest to confirm that the treatment was successful. Additionally, our dogs are microchipped before going home with their new family. Adoption fees are $85 and help to cover the cost of vetting.
