Hobo's Story...
I've met a lot of dogs on rescue trips all over the world but few have left as large an impression as Hobo. While feeding strays with a local rescuer in a small town in Serbia we came across Hobo. This sweet boy who is about one year old and about 30 pounds came over happily wagging his tail as we approached. A stray living outside of a railway station he was underweight and covered with ticks. But as hungry as he probably was he was even happier to have company than the food we provided. As we went around feeding other strays in the town Hobo happily followed us as if he was our dog and when it came time to leave he wanted to get in the car with us. I had tears in my eyes as we drove away and he stared longingly at us as he watched us leave. Sadly the local rescuer had no room to take him in. However at my pleading she went back a couple of days later and took him into her rescue. I am so happy to be bringing this sweet, playful guy to Canada and to a loving home he is so deserving of. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hobo, a Pickering Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Pickering, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Pickering.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pickering already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pickering breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pickering paves the way for another one to be saved.
