Guess who's GOOD WITH CATS?! That's right, it's Vincent! He recently went to the vet to have his neuter sutures removed and he got the chance to meet 3 cats in the waiting room. He didn't really react to them so we pushed him to get a little closer but he just wasn't interested. In fact, when one of the cats reached through the crate with his paw, Vincent quickly moved out of the way. It seems as if he may have learned a lesson or two from cats in the past. Vincent is approximately 4-years-old and around 65 pounds. He is a playful, but not overly energetic, guy who enjoys romping around in the water, fetching a ball and going for walks. He loves everyone he meets and seems to get along with other dogs too. If you are interested in adopting this friendly fellow, please stop by the Corning Animal Shelter at 4312 Rawson Rd, Sat-Sun 10am-3pm; call us at (530) 824-1985; or apply online at http://www.secondchancepetrescue.org/adoption-application.html
Our regular adoption fee is $75 and it includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, flea treatment, dewormer, and microchip.
Prospective adopters must agree to a home visit, have secure fencing and allow their dog to sleep inside at night. Those coming from out of town may submit a vet reference in place of a home visit. All renters need landlord approval.
If you already have a dog or two, they must be spayed/neutered and brought to the shelter for a meet and greet. Homes that already have than two dogs, or any unaltered dogs, will not be considered.
Exceptions to these rules may be made in special circumstances.
