Cynthia's Story...
Cynthia is a 3-year-old female Chihuahua mix. We are unsure of the mix but she has long legs like an Italian Greyhound, and longer ears and body like a Dachshund. Regardless of breed, we think she is 100% adorable!
Cynthia is fostered with other dogs and gets along well. She loves to play and is BALL crazy! She will fetch for hours. With some new people, she is unsure for a few minutes, but warms up quite quickly.
Cynthia's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations, current de-wormings, a leash, collar, and some food. Adoption forms can be found at www.cleoskarmacaninerescue.com and are required to be submitted prior to meeting the dogs.
Cynthia is currently fostered in Duchess.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cynthia, a Duchess Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound for sale in Duchess, or seeking a Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound dog from a breeder in Duchess.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Duchess already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Duchess breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Duchess paves the way for another one to be saved.
