My name is Bossy. I am a shy little girl in the beginning who loves to boss her sister around. Give me a little bit of time and I get all wound up and ready to play. Life is good and fun! My sister Bashful and I were found in a drainage culvert after a rain shower a few weeks ago. We were very tiny, skinny, full of fleas and ticks. My sister and I had no idea how we got there or what we were going to do. All I was doing was hiding and crying. My sister Bashful huddled right next to me. She was shaking because she was scared. Then we heard a loud noise and looked up. There as a kind older couple climbing down into the ditch to get us. I went first and Bashful ran a little farther into the tube because she was afraid. But after a little bit of French fries being offered as a bribe, she came out. I will tell you what, I loved those French fries.
Now when we got to this couple’s home, they bathed us, gave us food, it was so good and a warm bed to sleep in. We balled up together and slept what felt like forever. When we woke up, they took us outside to go potty, and fed us again. There was another lady there this time. She would turn out to be my foster mom with whom we live with now. This lady checked us over, started worming us, gave us shots and left instructions for our rescuing family. We were with them up until just a couple days ago. We now live with the other orphans here at the rescue.
Life is good, plenty of other orphans the same age to play with, lots of food and lots of love. I am not at all shy like I was the night we were picked up. My sister and I come up to our foster mom to be picked up and cuddled. We give lots of kisses. I still need my new family to have patience with me while I adjust to having a family who will love me furever and now want to throw me in a ditch to fend for myself. But every night my foster mom tells us a story about other orphans who have gotten homes back east and how they now hike, go to the ocean, dig in the sand and have a furever family. I want this too. Please submit an application and deposit to start my process of coming home soon.
All pups over 5 months will be altered prior to transport, puppies under 5 months old will receive a FOA voucher: https://www.friendsofanimals.
