“Extra floofy” is a hairstyle you probably wouldn’t request from your stylist, but Solomon sure knows how to pull it off! This Maine Coon guy is ready to settle into a quiet home with a cat savvy guardian who will spoil him with playtime, and lots of his beloved treats (which he will actually chase down!) Solomon really loves playing with his feather wand toy, and upon capture, he will vigorously rub his cheeks and forehead with the wand's feather and nubbin.
When not tracking down treats, and attacking toys, Solomon reveals his sensitive side, climbing onto the bed or couch in order to lie next to your legs. Occasionally, he will crawl up on his foster’s chest and rest his head there, just to be close; no petting required.
Solomon came to the shelter this summer with a limp, which has improved slightly, but requires daily medication. Due to his condition, we ask that he go to a mellow home with no children. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
Cat Town is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, formed by long term volunteers from Oakland Animal Services (OAS) and other Bay Area shelters. We have partnered with OAS to take the cats who are least likely to do well in a shelter setting.
