Established in 1929, HSSV has adopted more than 500,000 animals into permanent, loving homes. HSSV operates an open door shelter 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
HSSV is the first Animal Community Center in the nation to receive Gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
Mission: To save and enhance lives – both four-legged and two-legged!
Vision: Through compassion and collaboration, we are building a community in Silicon Valley where every pet has a home.
Choosing to adopt a four-legged family member is an exciting and rewarding experience! HSSV is here to partner with you to find your new companion, answer all your questions, and provide lifetime support for you and your pet’s relationship. We offer adoptions everyday at our three locations. Walk-ins are welcome or you can call us to schedule an appointment (encouraged for weekends). For a listing of our locations, hours, adoption fees and requirements and contact information, please visit our website at http://hssv.org
