Quill's Story...
Meet Quill, he is a very sweet Red Heeler maybe lab mix; he weighs about 60 lbs. Quill is about 2-3 years old and finished growing and done with puppy mischief. He is a calm, happy gentleman; doesn’t mind the chaos that the shelter can be and walks politely in the company of most other dogs. We don’t understand how this sweet boy with a friendly gentle disposition and a moderate amount of energy ended up first as a stray and now here with us. We know he would love a home of his own! Quill is hoping some special person or family will adopt him soon and give him the loving forever home he deserves with people that won’t leave him to fend for himself. He would love to join you on walks and hikes since he has such amazing leash manners; and visits to the dog park would be fun too! At the end of the day he would enjoy snuggling up and settling in for a quiet evening with his family. Quill will make a wonderful companion or part of your family; you won’t regret opening your home to this gentleman.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Quill, a Yreka Australian Cattle Dog/Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Rottweiler for sale in Yreka, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Yreka.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Yreka already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Yreka breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Rottweiler breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Yreka paves the way for another one to be saved.
