Dixie's Story...
Looking for a little girl that is sweeter than sugar and sure to be an amazing family member? Meet Dixie. Our precious girl is about 3 months old and could possibly be a Terrier mix. She and her sister were brought to the shelter when they were about 5 weeks old. They were adopted together the very day that we got them. Through no fault of their own, they were recently returned.

Dixie is made of nothing but sweetness, taking advantage of being held and loved every chance she gets. She's a little unsure of her surroundings right now, but that doesn't stop her from being a snuggle bunny. She would be a great family puppy, promising a lifetime of love, loyalty, and companionship.

Breed identification by visual means is unreliable for most dogs. We are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. Each dog at CARA is an individual and we do our best to describe each animal based on personality, not by breed label.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Jackson Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Jackson, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy from a breeder in Jackson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jackson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jackson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jackson paves the way for another one to be saved.
