Gizmo's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Gizmo's Story...
Gizmo is 5 years old and is 13 lbs of love. He has a sweet, earnest face. Gizmo needs a home where the Pekingese breed is known. He does great with other dogs and cats. He can be somewhat possessive of his food and toys, but his foster home is working with him on this. He has made remarkable strides. We would not recommend him living with small children. He is up to date on his medical and has had a dental. He is micro chipped and on heart worm preventive. He is being fostered just west of Richmond Va. If you would like to be considered in adopting Gizmo please complete our online adoption application. http://www.potomacpekes.org/onlineapplicationadopt.htm

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gizmo, a Richmond Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
