@Cherry Hill PetSmart
Hi, my name is Scout. Before I tell you about myself, I’d like you know that I am cat and kid friendly. I get along very well with kittens and will act like a father to them. If I’m in the mood, I’ll even play with them, but I’m a gentle player. I am great with kids, too.
Now, lets get to know me. I am a 2 year old male tabby. I’m a very sweet boy who loves attention. I will follow you around for attention and even talk to you. I love to cuddle and be held! I would make myself at home on day 1 without a doubt.
My perfect home would with another cat, or just me. I’m pretty independent so I don’t need another feline friend, but it’d be nice to have one! Along with a loving owner to give me lots of love.
I am listed as special needs, but I really don’t need anything special! When I got to the shelter I tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Unfortunately there is a stigma attached to this condition so cats like me are at a disadvantage when potential adopters are looking for a new kitty! The truth is, cats like me that have FIV can live with other cats and can live perfectly healthy lives. The way FIV is transmitted is through very deep, aggressive bites (like I endured out on the streets before coming to us). FIV cats do not need medication or special food, and can live long full lives without illness. The only thing I need is regular check ups and vaccinations, lots of love, and to stay indoors. Don't miss out on me because of my diagnosis! It is not a death sentence!

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, FIV/FeLV test, microchip, initial deworming treatment and 30 day pet medical insurance. Vaccinations and deworming are the first in a series, which should be followed up by the adopters veterinarian.
