Boots and his fur-sister, Jazz, were surrendered to a local kill-shelter after their owner suffered a heart attack and had to move into an apartment that didn't allow pets. Jazz and Boots have been together their whole lives, since puppyhood, and have lived with both cats and rabbits. Boots may look tough, but he is really just a big marshmallow. He is a cuddle buddy, and very passive. He only wants love and couch time, and companionship. He would be fine as an addition to a home with another low-key dog. He is completely house trained, crate trained, and walks well on leash. He has done fine with kids in his past owner's life. He knows basic commands, such as sit, down, speak, stay, and wait. Jazz and Boots both had hair loss from flea allergies upon entering rescue, but they received the care they needed to get that under control. Both are being fostered together, but we feel that they would be fine if adopted separately.
Boots is up to date on vaccines, neutered, heartworm negative, and will be microchipped prior to adoption. His adoption fee is $375 which includes all vetting and transport (if not a local adoption). Vet references, personal references, and home visits may be required prior to adoption.
