Meet Greg who came from the Napa shelter via our Pet Partnership program to find his home here in Marin County. This guy is a real prize, he is pretty mellow, but can ramp up to play speed in a minute; he purrs pretty much non stop and is very tolerant of handling. With some supervision he should work out well in a home with children of any age.

Please set up a small, comfortable, safe area where Greg can spend an introductory period of time in your home. Visit often, bringing toys and perhaps little treats. The smaller the space allocated to the kitten, the more quickly he will become receptive to you. When Greg is greeting you at the door, eating well and using his litter box consistently, let him explore more of your home a bit at a time. Do give Greg the option to return to "home base" and the litter box as cats like to know where their comfort areas are kept. When he has gained full house privileges set up another litter box or two on different levels of your home for continued litter box manners.
