Rio's Story...
Meet Rio!

Rio and her puppies were saved from a high kill shelter in Southern California. They were literally...out of time. Rio and her babies were so unbelievably sick with kennel cough that we weren't sure if all of the babies would make it. Thankfully, they were under the care of an amazing foster family, that really dug deep and spent sleepless days and nights making sure these little ones and their mama would push through.

Rio is quite the character. She loves children, men, women, other dogs...cats - can definitely be integrated with a dog savvy cat. Her current foster describes her as; athletic, silly, fun, playful, loves routine, protector of her family, loves to take walks and hike. Rio has probably not had much experience with structure and balance and she would benefit greatly from that kind of environment. She has been a loving momma and has endured so much in her life...the mama's need forever love too!

A home check, contract and adoption fee is required to adopt Rio. Rio is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rio, a Mission Viejo Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Mission Viejo, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Mission Viejo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mission Viejo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mission Viejo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mission Viejo paves the way for another one to be saved.
