My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi guys! I'm Isabelle but my foster Mom also calls me Izzy! I'm a happy little girl who has a lazy personality for a dog my age. I live in my current foster home with three other girl dogs, and I love them all like sisters. My foster mom also drops me off at daycare a few days a week and I love every friend that I have there. Sometimes a timid dog or older dog comes to visit and they pick me to play with them because of my gentle demeanor. I do really well riding in the car and love taking adventures. I have shocked my foster parents with how quickly I learned to let them know when it's time to go outside. I also know to come when called for and how to sit and wait for my food. I do like to play but I'm a low energy pup and when I get sleepy I don't make a peep the entire night. It has been such a cool experience living in a foster home and learning what it feels like to be a loved dog. I'm ready to take a leap and find my forever home. Oh, one more thing!. Check out my eyes, they are 3 different colors and they rule, just like my life as an ALIVE dog.

All of our pets start their journey in Memphis Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted.

In order to qualify for ALIVE’s program all of the following steps must be met: • You must be at least 24 years of age and be able to provide ALIVE with proof of age. • Any current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and be spayed/neutered. Exceptions to this will only be considered if proof of a medical explanation is provided. • If you currently rent, you must provide a landlord’s phone number and a copy of your executed lease. • All members of the family living in the home where the animal will be placed must be interviewed. • Allow an ALIVE Rescue Memphis representative into your home for a visit to insure that your home is safe for the potential new dog or cat. • Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and proper care for a pet. • Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog over 4 months of age is $250.00, a dog under 4 months of age is $275.00 and a cat is $150.00. • For dogs being adopted from our Chicago chapter additional transport fee's apply

Our adoption application can be found at http://www.aliverescuememphis.org/adoptionapplication/

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you submit an application immediately to start the adoption process. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, ALIVE Rescue Memphis is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well educated decision from well qualified staff.
