Cricket is ready and waiting to melt the heart of her Furever Family. You would never know she's had the bumpy start to life that she has judging from her joyful and kind disposition! Cricket is young and energetic, so she is highly recommended for an active individual or family who will give her plenty of opportunity to get out for runs, hikes, exploring with her nose, socializing, etc. She's very smart, so she needs to be stimulated, but she is also a super affectionate, snuggly little pup, especially in the evening. And, oh, the puppy kisses!!

Cricket is house and crate trained; she knows several basic commands and learns quickly. She is very good with dogs and bigger people, and with some additional training and supervision she'll be good with little ones, too (she's naturally drawn to children, but does not understand her own strength just yet!). If you are looking for an all-around terrific canine companion to share life's adventures with, Cricket could very well be The One. And she, in turn, will share her overflowing heart with you! It's the perfect pairing, don't you think?

If you are interested in adopting Cricket please email SLN2310@yahoo.com and request an application. Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.

If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.

Cricket's adoption donation is $350 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and neuter. We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
