My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption Fee: $600

Fostered in Louisiana

Age: 1 year

Weight: 6 lbs.

12/4/16 - IVE BEEN ADOPTED!

10/26/16 - What’s up, what’s up, what’s up? The name is Axle and NO, not Axle Rose. Just Axle. No bandana for this sexy guy. I'm full grown at 6 lbs. And must say, I look marvelous. I was a little skinny when I first graced Yorkie Haven with my presence, but these people know how to make a skinny guy feel welcome and aren’t greedy with the kibble. Seems my last owners wanted to keep all the food for themselves.

I know I look serious in all of my pictures, but I was putting on my distinguished face. I really am quite the 1 year old. I laugh, I smile, I play, I run, I jump, I kiss, I cuddle, I love, I bark..... and so on. I am happy, healthy and hungry for life and would like a human or two or three to share my love and kisses with.

I love playing with other dogs, no matter the size. I am in a foster home with two 60 lb. horses (dogs) and I love climbing on them, chasing them, jumping around with them and sleeping snuggled up to them. There are also cats in my foster home and I’m fine with them also. I sleep in my crate in foster mom and dad’s room and am a good boy throughout the night as long as you let me out right before bedtime and get up early and allow me to do my business. I am small and have a small bladder. Foster mom says that I am doing really well for a tot my age in the potty department, but will need to be let out often.

Even though I am puppy and highly energetic, I settle down just at easily and love "us" time. When foster mom is on the computer, I absolutely love sitting in her lap giving kisses, pounding on the keys with her and just sleeping in her lap. I’m not afraid to explore new things as I am quite the inquisitive toddler.

Even though I am friendly and love all people, I do need to be introduced to newcomers slowly. I tend to have the small yorkie syndrome when it comes to people entering my home and tend to bark and run for the feet. I’m working on this, but I’m trying to repay foster mom and dad back by being a good watchdog. They’ve given me so much, I want to help keep away the strangers.

If I had to sum myself up in one sentence, it would be: A great attitude is contagious, but I refuse to wait and catch it from others, I’m a carrier.

Axle
