Absolutely gorgeous girl Felicia is LOOKING FOR A LOVING HOME!!! Beside her obvious great looks she is a nice, gentle and submissive girl. Felicia is calm, enjoys human interaction, overall sweet, beautiful girl. She is an interesting combination: Sheppard and ridgeback. Felicia is fully vetted, all shots up-to-date, spayed, treated for internal and external parasites, micro-chipped, about 35lbs, 4 years old - great with other dogs and people( children over 10 years). She likes the simple things in life - long walks and soft bed to come home to. Felicia needs a home with the fenced backyard, but MOST OF ALL - she needs a family to love her. PLEASE give a chance to this beautiful girl - she will reward you with an unconditional love.
I have many (since 2000) years of volunteering at different shelters and with various rescue organizations; coupled with fostering dogs throughout the years as well. I also helping with adopt-a-thons for shelters and then a year ago started doing my own adopt-a-thons for rescues and fosters I have in my home. This experience and love of dogs have brought me to the decision to create my own rescue, and to find homes for dogs through my rescue now. Although it is a new rescue the intention is to remain small and take time with people through discussion to find a good match of family to dog.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We are generally a foster to adopt programme. This means the chosen dog goes into your home for a 2 week trial period before the adoption process is confirmed. This allows the dog and family to see if this is in fact the dog they had envisioned. On occasion we have a dog in foster, and if this is the case arrangements will be made to meet the dog. We also may have adopt-a-thon for more exposure, however the adopt process is still the same.
Our Adoption Process...
Once you have contacted us, we will ask a few question over the phone and then you will be sent a Pre-adoption form. The form is reviewed and then someone may contact you regarding your chosen dog to arrange a home visit. If we feel your home is the suitable place for this particular dog we will contact you to proceed with the adoption. The adoption process consists of foster to adopt,a two week trial period before adoption, to ensure a good match for both you and the dog. It is not always possible to meet the dog before hand, due to lack of fosters available to us, the dog will go directly into your home upon it's arrival. However if we do have a dog in foster then we will make arrangements for the entire family to meet the dog
