"I just wanted to gave you a quick update about Champ. This is the 6th day of fostering him. First several days were very rough. He is much better now. I purchased him some toys and he is learning that he can only play bite with his toys not me. He is a great "fetch dog". He has been getting lots of exercise. I have been training him. He can obey simple commands at this point. He is not only good outside, he is awesome inside the house. Very gentle when he gets his treats. Eats well. Goes outside to do his business. He goes in his crate when told too. He is in his crate at night and is very quiet. He doesn't bark inside. We went to the Tractor Supply store, Home Depot, and the Pet store several times. He is awesome going places. He doesn't bark in the stores. He obeys well. Great with people and other dogs.
I would like to see him adopted sooner then later and don't want him to have to go back into the shelter. I don't want him to bond too much with me either. I would like to see him bond with a longer term family. I don't think Champ would be good at a home with young children. I think it would be to much stimulation for him".
