Mundo the Great. Meet Mundo! Mundo found himself at Chicago Animal Care and Control when he was rounded up with a group of other dogs who were running around the neighborhood, and up to no good! Mundo's owner did not make an attempt to come get him out, so for six long months poor Mundo sat, waiting for rescue to come. That's when Guardians swooped in to get him. We get asked quite frequently what kind of dog Mundo is. We have no idea, but our best guess is 'squishy' mixed with 'puppy dog' mixed with 'snorty'! Mundo is 2-3 years old and weighs about 45 pounds. He is potty trained, crate trained, dog and kid friendly (no cats). He is a pretty chill little boy around the house. He likes to pick toys out of his toy bin, but ultimately he ends up prancing around the house, wagging his tail, snorting happy snorts, with his beloved ball in his mouth. It's super adorable. He loves to follow you around to see what you are up to, and also in hopes that you will throw his ball for him. Speaking of, Mundo's FAVORITE thing to do is play fetch. His ball drive is amazing. He will sprint after the ball, bring it right back to you, and drop it at your feet, immediately ready for the next throw. He could do this forever, and definitely needs someone to play fetch with him in his forever home. Since coming to his foster home, Mundo has been learning what love and affection is all about. He takes treats very gently, loves hugs, and gives the sweetest kisses. Mundo lives very happily with two other dogs and does great in the pack life. He can be a tad bossy, but not in a dominant way. He LOVES going on his daily walks. Mundo may have the shortest little legs around, but those legs sure can move! He has no problems going on a two mile run with his leggy fur siblings. He is always polite when we say hello to people along the way. Mundo thinks car rides are a perfect opportunity for a little nap. At the end of the day, this sweet, precious boy curls up on his dog bed, or next to you on the couch, to softly snore the night away.
