My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome boy is a purebred horsecoat named Pompei. During his 5 years, he's survived abandonment, starvation, and heartworms to become a gentle, dignified gentleman. He weighs about 50 lbs, is neutered, current on vaccinations, and has completed his heartworm treatment. Although always polite, he's a bit shy around new people until they've earned his trust. He's wonderful around other dogs! At the boarding home where he stayed during his convalescence, he was so calm around other dogs that he became their "temperament tester."

Pompei has a lot of love to give, and needs a steady home full of belly rubs where he can feel secure and part of the family. He likes playing with toys, balls, and children. He would especially enjoy a canine companion.
