AMY NEEDS A FOSTER FOR A SHORT TIME UNTIL ADOPTED. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN FOSTERING AMY, PLEASE EMAIL adoptpetmatch@gmail.com

Amy is a female German Shepherd/Malamute mix approximately 4 years old. She is a big, solid girl weighing in at 85 pounds. Her body is big boned and she has a luxurious, thick long black, tan and dusky gray coat. Amy is beautiful and truly a gentle giant. She is so incredibly loving and affectionate. Her nose conveniently reaches right up to arm level so you can pat her while you are standing as well as if you are sitting down. If you are standing, she will bump her soft nose into your hand asking for a pat in a sweet way. Amy loves people and definitely wants to be included in family life. She is an extremely easy keeper inside the home, completely housebroken and very well-behaved in every way. Amy has wonderful manners and greets guests appropriately. True to her breed, she has the potential to be extremely devoted and loyal to her owners. She already wants to bond closely with her humans caretakers. Amy is also highly intelligent and very trainable. She already knows sit and down and can learn other commands readily. She is beautifully attentive and alert with her people. Amy gets along great with other dogs big and small and will play gently on occasion. She is good with kids and has a patient, easygoing way about her. On leash, Amy is a good walker and will allow herself to be led along with relative ease. She has good manners in public and is not a barker. Amy would love to have a stable home where she can be a valued family member and allowed to be close to her people. She is fine if you need to leave the house for a bit, and will be waiting patiently for you on the couch or near the door until you return. Amy was rescued from a very high-volume/high-kill shelter where she was brought in stray. She gets high marks for her impressive, warm temperament. Amy is healthy and ready for her new forever home today!

Amy’s adoption donation is $450 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

AMY, a Newport Beach German Shepherd Dog/Alaskan Malamute dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Alaskan Malamute for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Alaskan Malamute dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Alaskan Malamute breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Alaskan Malamute rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
