Cooper, 9, dapple, $250 fee's Story...
We do not adopt dogs from phone calls or emails. Please do not fill in adoption forms anywhere else, but on OUR web site. Thanks for that.

To start our adoption process, please fill out our form on our web site at: www.spokanewienerdogs.org and see the Adopt a Dog/Fee page with more details on how we adopt our dogs. There are a lot of questions answered on our web site and personality details below about each dog BELOW so please READ BEFORE getting in touch. We already answer 500+ emails a day. We do answer questions on dogs once our adoption paperwork is filled in so we can match to the right homes.

Please indicate which dog you are interested in on our adoption form. If their name says "pending home" then they are not available and are on a test drive with a new family. We do remove our dogs when our adoptions are final so please do not ask us if dogs are available if you see their ads.

There is an adoption fee of $250 for this dog. We have now raised enough to clean his teeth so his adoption fee does not cover that total vet bill but he will go to his new home with pearly whites!

Mini Cooper is a red dapple male tweenie sized boy about 14 pounds and about age 8 to 9.

He is very sweet. and likes all dogs and people he meets. Do not let the grey on his face fool you. This boy is healthy, happy and active!

He came to rescue through no fault of his own and is well mannered and happy dog. He is not mental nor abuse case. He was very well loved in hos last home and will make someone a very nice boy in their new home too.

Coops has some mild separation anxiety which is typical in all dogs we rescue here, but we are working with that to get him retrained. UPDATE: His retraining is going along very well so I see him having a great life later. In his new home Cooper will need to be crated if folks leave him if they leave home. He is not destructive but works himself into a frenzy if not crated so we avoid that reaction here because we do what is best for the dogs at this rescue. He is crate trained and just sleeps until they return.

He needs his teeth done so we are fundraising on that and hope to have enough money in a couple of weeks so he goes to his new home with pearly whites so he gets a new home for the holidays.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cooper, 9, dapple, $250 fee, a Spokane Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Spokane, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Spokane.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Spokane already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Spokane breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Spokane paves the way for another one to be saved.
