About Our Shelter...
This is a county run facility in Rutherford County Tennessee. Murfreesboro is 30 miles SE of Nashville, TN. We get in 30-60 dogs/cats PER DAY. It is full most of the time. We could use donations of unopened bags of dogfood & catfood, towels, small rugs, blankets. Dog/cat toys, cat litter. This is a dedicated group of people-- both county workers & volunteers who try their best to help the unwanted pets in this county find homes.

Facility is off of I 24 at Exit 78A. Get off the ramp at 78A. Turn right at the first light which is John Rice Blvd.
The building is past Sam's Club and Tractor Supply on the left side of the road. Look for the chain link fencing around a one story brick building.
Adoption Hours: Monday-Friday noon to 6:00 PM. Saturday--11:00 to 2:00 PM. Closed Sunday
Phone hours: Monday-Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Saturday 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Closed Sunday.
Our Adoption Process...
You fill out an adoption application.
Be sure that other pets are up to date on vaccinations. Your vet will be used as a reference.
Pets will be altered before leaving the county.
A pet who will need spay/neuter surgery is $80. That fee includes parvo/distemper vaccination, rabies vaccination, initial worming, heartworm testing if old enough, and surgery.
A pet who is already altered can leave immediately with an adoption fee of $48 which includes parvo/distemper vaccination, rabies vaccination, initial worming, and heartworm test.
