Meet Cookie! Cookie is a sweet and beautiful gal looking for a place to call home. Cookie was neglected and (we believe) left outside for most of her life. She is now in a loving foster home and has gotten quite used to living in a home. She is a lover girl and loves to be with her people. She is very sweet, cuddly, and loving. She adores attention and will soak up all the love you can give her. If she can have access to your lap, she will gladly take it! Cookie likes a good game of tug-of-war and loves to fetch her toys when you throw them. Be forewarned, she's good at these games, don't expect to win! Cookie lives with other dogs and gets along with them all. She is good on a leash, crate-trained and working on her potty-training. Cookie is a good watchdog but is not a nuisance barker. Cookie was severely matted and had to be shaved. She has a non-shedding coat and may be an option for those with allergies or simply prefer a non-shedding dog. Cookie will require regular grooming so she will never be matted again. Cookie is about 2 years and 12 lbs. Cookie is ready to find her forever home. Is it with you?Our adoptions are restricted to residents of Los Angeles and Orange Counties. We do not ship animals or do long distance adoptions. About Noahs Bark

About Our Rescue Group...

Noah's Bark is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit local pet rescue organization based in the Los Angeles South Bay area. We are committed to finding permanent and happy homes for unwanted and homeless pets in our community. The organization was founded by Lila Hemenway in 1997. We rescue and rehome approximately 300 pets each year. Our organization does not have a shelter, volunteers provide foster care for animals while they await placement. Pets come to us as strays, owner turn ins and from LA area shelters. We get dogs of all sizes and ages, purebreds and mixes alike. Although we primarily rescue dogs and puppies, we also have cats and kittens for adoption.

Our Adoption Process...

Noah's Bark restricts pet adoptions to residences of Los Angeles and Orange Counties. We do not ship animals nor do we do any type of long distance adoptions. We do not adopt to persons under 21 years of age. We require prospective adopters to meet both us and the animal, fill out an application and be interviewed. Adoptions are not done a first come first serve basis. Generally applications are taken all day on our adoption days and applicants are selected based upon the best match of the particular pet's temperament and needs. If an application is approved we usually will require home check so we can ensure the animals safety. These pets are not for sale and the decision of where to place them is solely at the discretion of Noah's Bark. We reserve the right to refuse placement of our pets to any individual who does not meet our criteria. We also reserve the right to keep our reasons for refusal confidential within our organization. The welfare of our rescue animals is our top priority.

There is a required tax deductible adoption fee of generally it is $250 - $300 for dogs** and $400 for puppies** (note that some purebreds and smaller dogs may be adopted at a higher fee. Seniors and special needs pets may be adopted at a reduced fee). The adoption fee must be paid via check or cash, we do not accept credit cards. The adoption fee is used to help offset some of the cost needed to operate our rescue organization. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, vet checked, vaccinated and dewormed prior to placement. We have an adoption contract which requires you to return the animal to Noah's Bark if at anytime you should no longer be able to keep your pet. Pets adopted through Noah's Bark can not be sold, traded, given away or disposed of in any way. Although all of our animals are thoroughly evaluated, we cannot guarantee their health or temperament.
