housetrained, purebred, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
I am housetrained, purebred, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Hi, my name is Riley and I am a fawn and white, male Pit Bull puppy. I was born on May 22, 2016. After I grew a little I was turned into the shelter (I don't know why) where I sat in the corner quietly while all the others dogs barked. I was so scared there. Lucky for me, the nice people at Noah's Bark found me and took me in. I am recovering from a non-contagious skin condition and getting healthy again. I live with a nice family that has three doggies just like me, and 2 cats. I love to play with the other dogs and cats, and I especially like playing fetch. I am a little shy at first, but warm up quickly when people show me love. Once you get to know me, I am actually quite goofy and loving. I am potty-trained and walk well on a leash. Although car rides make me a little scared, I am getting used to them. I am crate-trained and sleep well through the night on a warm bed. I am not much of a barker and will do well in a home with a nice family. Right now, my foster Mom is teaching me basic commands. As you can see, I'm a pretty great puppy. I hope you come meet me and take me to my new home soon! Our adoptions are restricted to residents of Los Angeles and Orange Counties. We do not ship animals or do long distance adoptions. See our adoption policies for more details on our adoption process. Our adoption events are held at the Petco located at 24413 Crenshaw Blvd., Torrance, CA Saturdays from 12pm to 3pm. About Our Rescue Group...
Noah's Bark is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit local pet rescue organization based in the Los Angeles South Bay area. We are committed to finding permanent and happy homes for unwanted and homeless pets in our community. The organization was founded by Lila Hemenway in 1997. We rescue and rehome approximately 300 pets each year. Our organization does not have a shelter, volunteers provide foster care for animals while they await placement. Pets come to us as strays, owner turn ins and from LA area shelters. We get dogs of all sizes and ages, purebreds and mixes alike. Although we primarily rescue dogs and puppies, we also have cats and kittens for adoption.

Our Adoption Process...
Noah's Bark restricts pet adoptions to residences of Los Angeles and Orange Counties. We do not ship animals nor do we do any type of long distance adoptions. We do not adopt to persons under 21 years of age. We require prospective adopters to meet both us and the animal, fill out an application and be interviewed. Adoptions are not done a first come first serve basis. Generally applications are taken all day on our adoption days and applicants are selected based upon the best match of the particular pet's temperament and needs. If an application is approved we usually will require home check so we can ensure the animals safety. These pets are not for sale and the decision of where to place them is solely at the discretion of Noah's Bark. We reserve the right to refuse placement of our pets to any individual who does not meet our criteria. We also reserve the right to keep our reasons for refusal confidential within our organization. The welfare of our rescue animals is our top priority.
There is a required tax deductible adoption fee of generally it is $250 - $300 for dogs** and $400 for puppies** (note that some purebreds and smaller dogs may be adopted at a higher fee. Seniors and special needs pets may be adopted at a reduced fee). The adoption fee must be paid via check or cash, we do not accept credit cards. The adoption fee is used to help offset some of the cost needed to operate our rescue organization. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, vet checked, vaccinated and dewormed prior to placement. We have an adoption contract which requires you to return the animal to Noah's Bark if at anytime you should no longer be able to keep your pet. Pets adopted through Noah's Bark can not be sold, traded, given away or disposed of in any way. Although all of our animals are thoroughly evaluated, we cannot guarantee their health or temperament.
