Additional info:
Yogi, is a tiny little boy who was taken into the shelter as a stray. The person who found him promised they would come back for him if his owners didn't come look for him, but never came back as promised and now he's so very sad. He's a sweet gentle boy and he is good with other dogs. He is shy and timid at first but he warms up quickly and is a complete love bug when he is comfortable. He loves to be petted and held and he is good with other dogs. He may do well with older kids. We are not sure if he is crate trained or not. Yogi is an easy,low-maintenance dog who is ready for his forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yogi, a Encino Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Encino, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
