Angel's Story...
Angel is a pretty little Beagle/Foxhound-looking girl, maybe just under 1 year old, around 30 pounds. Shy at first, but ready to make friends once she's comfortable with you. Walks fine on a leash, and is timid around other dogs.

An adoption fee may be required which helps cover some of the care and veterinary services provided, including spay for females, neuter for males, vaccinations, de-worming and heartworm testing when age appropriate.

This dog is housed at the Franklin County Small Animal Control shelter. The Humane Society graciously allows the shelter dogs to be posted under their account, but they have no direct knowledge and can answer no questions about the dogs housed there. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Angel, a Metamora Beagle/Foxhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Foxhound for sale in Metamora, or seeking a Beagle/Foxhound dog from a breeder in Metamora.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Metamora already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Metamora breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Foxhound breeders who help with Beagle/Foxhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Metamora paves the way for another one to be saved.
