My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I’m El (A005620) and I’m a great cat. I had two babies but they both died so I took in another cat’s babies and cared for them like my own. Now I’m in a cage with a very active kitten. She gets on my nerves but I still take care of her, clean her, and cuddle with her. I’m an adult, spayed female, gray and tan, Russian Blue and DSH mix. I was found as a stray on W. Washington on 8-4-16. You can adopt me today! *Please do not call the shelter if you are interested in adopting. You must come into the shelter to meet the cat/dog. All dog adoptions require an application.

PLEASE NOTE: NOT ALL ANIMALS ARE ON THE WEBSITE. IF YOU ARE MISSING YOUR PET, PLEASE COME THE SHELTER TO SEE IF YOUR PET IS HERE.

Adoption costs:
Cat/kitten: $90, second cat/kitten for $1. There may be an additional $50 refundable spay/neuter fee for kittens too young to be spayed/neutered at time of adoption.
Dog: $120 plus dog license fee
***Use the pet's ID number when calling to check on availability before coming in. 517-788-4464

Adoption fees include vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm check (for dogs), feline leukemia check (for cats), rabies vaccination, and deworming. Pets have also been treated for fleas and ticks. Some pets may have had other veterinary treatment as needed.

Wanted Donations: Any unused blankets, towels, toys, leashes, laundry soap, Clorox bleach and bandanas would be greatly appreciated. In addition, we always appreciate donations of cat or dog food, cat litter, and treats
