Patch Adams's Story...
Hi Everyone,

I am Patch Adams. I am a white, hearing boy. I get a lot of compliments on my face...something about patches on my eyes. I was pretty skinny when my foster mom picked me up, but now that I get to eat regularly, I'm filling out really well. I'm also pretty tall. I love to chase balls and toys. I'm learning sit, down, paw and heel. I do really good at these when I get kibble for a treat. I like to be able to look out the windows. When I get really excited, I like to jump like I'm on a Pogo stick. My foster Mom told me I was a good boy when her granddaughter came to visit. I was so patient and good when she hugged on me and wanted me to lay on her. I gave her lots of kisses and she laughed and laughed.

I am housebroken. I sleep in my crate all night long. If I whimper or bark my foster mom tells me "no" and to "lay down". When I hear her voice, I plop down, although I'd rather be sleeping in her bed. I like to play with other dogs. I do great with a cat that doesn't mind my curious sniffs.

The vet told my foster Mom that I'm about 1-2 yrs old. I'm up to date on my shots and I've received my heartworm medicine and I've been neutered.

The first step in adopting me is to visit www.goboxerrescue.com and fill out the application to adopt.

On the website you will also find more pictures of me and be able to read all about me, and other dogs that are currently available.

If you think I will make a great addition to your family, head on over to the GO Boxer Rescue website and fill out the application. And be sure to mention my name, that's Patch Adams

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patch Adams, a Dayton Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Dayton, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Dayton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dayton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dayton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dayton paves the way for another one to be saved.
