My name is PonPon and I am a Shih Tzu that was surrendered to CAA Rescue into foster care when my guardian died of cancer. I don’t know if he was a good or bad guy but I do know that I loved him very much and I miss him everyday
When I joined CAA Rescue in foster care I was quite the mess… covered in fleas, matted and my claws were really long. My foster mom took all day to care for me and to clean me up. Since then I feel so much better
I did have a vet visit and they believe I am somewhere around 6 years old but the family that surrendered me said I was 10 years old… so I am definitely a senior
I do not bark whatsoever! I am a calm and quiet guy.
I am house trained and do do my business outside and will tell you when it is time for me to go
I do like to chase the cats though when my foster mama is not looking! So probably best in a home with no other cats or dogs
I have no separation anxiety at all, I am glad to be around people when they are home and when not I sleep quietly until humans return
I should not be in a home with small children. And if any were to visit the home they should know to be respectful to me especially while I am sleeping. I am a senior and prefer to wake up quietly on my own with no fuss or muss or excitement.
I am a gentleman on the leash as I very much enjoy the stroll around the neighborhood to say HiYA to everyone. I also very much enjoy taking the sun and snoozing in the backyard.
I love squeaky toys! They are a lot of fun to play with so whoever chooses to adopt me better have a lot of little toys for me to enjoy.
I very much enjoy car rides so I can go wherever you wanna go with you!
I have some failing vision so if you have stairs in your home you will probably have to baby gate them to be safe that I don’t take a tumble
My ideal how would be with a mature couple looking for someone to hang out with them

A 3-Step process to adopt one of our foster dogs.
1. Fill the adoption form. It might seem long, but it’s the best way to find the right dog for you and your family!
2. We’ll arrange a meeting with the foster family of the dog you want to meet so you can see if s/he’s the right one for you.
3. If you decide to move forward, you’ll be asked to agree to a home visit, fill-in and sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
