This is Dexter. Dexter was one of seven puppies that we rescued. These 7 puppies were the only survivors of a total of 22 puppies that were born in the dirt to 2 mothers who were chained to trees. Dexter has undergone quite a bit in his young life. He was covered in fleas, he had worms, coccidia, then Parvo. Just as he was getting over the parvo, we went in to check on him and discovered that his snout was hanging off of his face. We rushed him to the vet, who said that Dexter had most likely gotten a spider bite in his sinus cavity, which then got infected and burst. After stabilizing him, the vet decided that the best course of action was to remove the loose skin. He is eating and drinking without any problem. He is neutered and up to date on all of his shots. He is ready to find a loving home to call his own! Through all of his problems, Dexter has remained sweet and playful. If you are interested in adopting him, please fill out an application online at http://www.gardonline.org/adoption/adoption-application/
