Hi there!

My name is Mr. Meowgi. My mom was saved by a very nice vet. She was pregnant too young and was going to die if the vet didn't help her. Now, here I am!

I'm a handsome boy. I'm a quiet fellow that is very affectionate. I'm going to be a big handsome man! My best friend is Sesame! We have a lot of fun together! I'm out going and a total cuddle bug. I help Sesame come out of his shell and enjoy life.

Did you notice that they put me in a tie?!?! I'm sure they just thought that was a BRILLIANT idea. Humph. I'm adorable with or without my tie.

Love, Mr. Meowgi & Sesame

About ALMOST HOME Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Almost Home strives for innovative ways to rescue and place animals into loving environments. We are an organization that consists of volunteers with varied interests and experiences, all working towards the betterment of animals. By working within our own group, assisting and educating the public on spaying & neutering, and working with other rescues and sanctuaries, we will see a significant change in the perception and treatment of all animals.

Almost Home believes that every animal deserves a loving home regardless of appearance, age, or physical limitation. We have come together to give animals in need the safe and happy life they all deserve. Almost Home Animal Rescue believes that no animal is expendable.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Each animal is in the care of a foster home or a rescue. Please contact that particular foster or rescue for complete adoption information.

Our Adoption Process...

Unless otherwise noted, all Almost Home animals are healthy, spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and on heartworm preventitive (if dog,) and flea & tick preventitive.

If you would like to adopt a pet from Almost Home, start by completing our application, which is available online at www.almosthometn.org. Our adoption process includes reference checks, a home visit, a one week trial period, and a contract. Our goal is to find the best fit for our animals, and for their new families.

ADOPTION FEES:

The adoption fee for a CAT is $65, or two for $125. KITTENS are $75, or two for $140. The adoption fee for kittens includes the cost of spaying/neutering and their rabies shot when they are old enough (usually five months).

The adoption fee for a DOG is $135, or two for $220. PUPPIES are $150, or two for $250. The adoption fee for puppies includes the cost of spaying/neutering and their rabies shot when they are old enough (usually five months).

The adoption of more animals, or a different combination of animals, are welcome and fees will be reduced.

Micro-chipped cats and dogs are an additional $15.

NOTE: Some cats and dogs have a different fee than those listed above. It is noted on their posting. Mature pet adoption fees are lower to encourage people to adopt these wonderful animals who have a lot of love to give. The adoption fee for pure bred or desirable mixed breed dogs and cats is based on the average fee charged by area rescues and/or breed specific rescues.

ADOPTION FEES COVER LESS THAN 75% OF THE COST OF VETTING OUR ANIMALS. WE RELY ON DONATIONS AND GRANTS TO COVER THE REMAINDER.
