After I was rescued, Texarkana Animal League was called & asked if they could find me a good home.  I have been neutered, have a microchip, & am current on my vaccines.  I have been hand raised by my foster mom, who says I am a very, very sweet kitten.  I am an affectionate & very playful boy.  I also love to sit with my foster mom on her couch.  I'm hoping to find the perfect home -  one where I can give & receive love, and one that will also keep me safe.

~~All of our adoptable animals are up to date on routine vaccinations and spayed or neutered.  If the animal is too young a certificate for the spay/neuter is included in the adoption fee.  Many times our animals are microchipped. To apply online, go to

Many of our animals can be seen at our monthly adoption events at the Texarkana PetSmart on the third Saturday of every month.  We also have cats available in the Cat Adoption Center inside PetSmart.  To make arrangements to meet any of our animals, please call us at 1-877-525-4825, option 1.

About Texarkana Animal League

About Our Rescue Group...

Texarkana Animal League (TAL) is a group of volunteers that is dedicated to improving the welfare of animals in our shelter & the community. Although we are no longer involved in the day to day operations of running a facility, our mission has not changed:

The Texarkana Animal League exists to provide protection and care for abandoned, abused, neglected and unwanted companion animals. We also want to promote animal welfare through programs and services that mutually benefit animals and people.

All proceeds will benefit animal care and adoptions, and will assist with our new community outreach programs such as a low-income spay/neuter assistance program, as well as educational and service projects to assist TAL's belief that all animals are deserving of life, respect and care. In 2008, over 2200 shelter animals received vaccinations & vet care from funds raised and we will continue to provide the same care to shelter animals this year. In 2009, we anticipate altering at least 250 animals in the community with the Spay/Neuter Assistance Program and funding an in-house spay/neuter clinic at the Animal Care & Adoption Center of Texarkana that will alter shelter animals prior to adoption.
