Monty's Story...
Meet Monty. You know how they say that if you didn’t have bad luck, you wouldn’t have any luck at all? Monty should have that tattooed somewhere on his little body. Monty was in the flood zone. A car then hit him, and then he was attacked by a dog. He made it to Zeus’ Rescue where we were able to fix all his broken parts. He is now ready for a forever home! Even with all that has happened to him, he is full of love and life. Monty loves all dogs, but most cats will not appreciate his ‘joie de vivre’. I bet you will. Monty is 4 years old, up to date on shots, neutered, heart worm negative, microchipped and house trained. If interested in this lucky pup, fill out the online application at — at Zeus' Place.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Monty, a New Orleans Shar Pei dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei for sale in New Orleans, or seeking a Shar Pei dog from a breeder in New Orleans.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Orleans already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Orleans breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei breeders who help with Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Orleans paves the way for another one to be saved.
