CHET's Info...

CHET's Story...
Chet is a 5-1/2 month old male. Black and white Tri (with some copper points).  We are not sure if he is purebred or not because his brother looks pretty pure.  He is a beautiful boy and has an extremely sweet and unusually calm demeanor about him for a young pup.  He gets along great with other dogs and people and would be an awesome companion for a child over 5.  He has a heart of gold and loves his belly rubs and time with his humans.  He is learning to play with his toys and enjoys playing ball.  He is learning to walk on a leash and will need someone who can dedicate some time to take him to puppy classes.  He has wonderful manners now but should have more training to make him a perfect adult dog.  He is house trained, knows how to use a dog door.  He also loves to give kisses!
If you are interested in adopting Chet, please visit our website at BorderColliesInNeed.org and fill out an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CHET, a San Pedro Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in San Pedro, or seeking a Border Collie puppy from a breeder in San Pedro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Pedro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Pedro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Pedro paves the way for another one to be saved.
