Facts about Baxter

  • Color: Black
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Baxter is an adorable and happy mixed breed guy, maybe border collie, and weighs about 55 pounds. Baxter is about 10 years old as far as we know, but doesn't act a day over 7. This handsome guy is still playful and loves to chase balls.

If you're looking for a mature dog who is still active and loves everyone, Baxter might be just the right fit. He does great with kids, cats, and other dogs. His foster home has older dogs and younger dogs, and does well with them all.

If you're wondering about the right side of Baxter's face, we don't have all of the answers. He does have some paralysis that appears to be the result of blunt force trauma. His eye waters and he sometimes drools, but otherwise he is in great health.

Baxter is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is solidly housebroken and great in a crate.

If you would like to meet Baxter please complete an application on our website at His adoption fee is $100

About PawSwaP of Greater Lafayette

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a rescue/ rhoming service that provides education and assistance for owners in our community to keep pets in their home. When that is not an option or we come across animals in need, we will take them into our foster-based program, work with them, seek all necessary vetting, and find them the perfect home.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do various adoption events in the community. If you would like to meet one of our available adoptables, please email us!

Our Adoption Process...

The first step in the adoption process is to complete the adoption application on our website. Once we have reviewed the applications, we will contact the potential adopters to arrange a meet and greet. This can take several days depending on the popularity of the animal.
