We don't know her past, but we can make sure she has a great future! Lacey was found on the streets of Homestead/Redland, Florida scavenging for food from a plastic bag on the side of a busy road, mere inches away from being hit by a car. Redland, Florida has become a notorious dumping ground for unwanted family pets. Lacey is waiting to shower you with kisses (if you don't mind, she will kiss your face!) and sit in your lap if you are on the ground. She is a beautiful dog, both physically and in spirit. She is not afraid of people and will readily approach, asking "Are you the one who wants to adopt me?" Sweet, affectionate and eager to please, with a loving guardian Lacey will respond well to training and instruction. As of October 2016, she is about 1 year old. She deserves a safe, nurturing and loving home, where she can share the couch with you, enjoy play time in a secure, breach-free yard, and go on walks. She will definitely bring joy to you and household as she shares your life! Call Maria to inquire: 786-205-6865.
Born Free Pet Shelter is a No Kill 501(c)(3) non-profit dog rescue organization that has been helping homeless dogs since 1980. Located on a beautiful 5-acre refuge in the Redlands of South Florida, Born Free rescues dogs in distress and offers them the chance to lead happy and healthy lives. We are currently responsible for over 160 dogs, ranging from puppies to seniors. With the help of generous donations and the tireless efforts of our volunteers, we provide the love and care that they deserve. Some of our dogs will live out their days at the shelter, but we have so many that would make wonderful companions if given the chance.
