Amiga is a 9 1/2 year old little lady that should be snuggled up on a couch in a great home, not waiting here, hoping that someone will come along and notice her. She came to us in May with her best buddy, Muchacho, when someone claimed to have found them in a box on the side of the road. We don't know why the pair were given up, especially in the prime of their lives, but we have done everything possible to make them feel loved and at home, until they could find a home of their own. Sadly, Muchacho recently passed away due to a severe seizure that unfortunately, he did not come out of. Amiga is on her own, hoping to start over in a quiet and loving home with people that will love her forever. Amiga has had seizures in the past herself but thankfully, they are kept under control with medication. She will need to stay on the medication indefinitely. Amiga doesn't let anything get her down though and although she tends to be a little shy when she meets someone new, just give her a minute or two and she'll be climbing up in your lap in no time. Amiga is well behaved and easy going, and it really doesn't take much to make this darling little chihuahua happy. She gets along with other well behaved dogs and cats, but will need a home with no small children or a lot of commotion. Please consider opening your heart and home to our sweet little Amiga.
