Maddie is a sweet 3 year old Pyrenees/ lab mix and was found as a stray in Texas, skinny and heartworm positive. She has had her treatments for heartworms and has put on weight she now weighs 60lbs and is ready for her forever home! Maddie was adopted once and returned at no fault of her own, Maddie is VERY protective of her home and and wants to protect it so she needs someone that has the time to work with her and show her she can let other people in the house besides her family.  Maddie gets along with other dogs and she likes to run and play. She rides great in a car! She is a quick learner and she has overcome so much so far. She is shy and takes awhile to warm up to know you, but she will bond to you once she knows she is ok.  A fenced in yard is required with her adoption. Maddie is housebroken, spayed and up to date on vaccines and heartworm pills, and she is micro chipped. Her adoption fee is $250.00, if you would like to know more about Maddie, please contact projecthoperescue@gmail.com

About Project Hope Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We focus primarily on rescuing senior and special needs dogs in kill facilities. We are located on 30 acres of land in rural southern Michigan. We are a care-for-life facility, so any dog that does not or that we deem cannot be adopted will live with us for the rest of his/her life. Because we rescue the dogs that are not in high demand, it normally takes our dogs longer to find that perfect family. We believe that it takes a special family to adopt our special dogs.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Please contact us to set up a date and time to meet our dogs.

Our Adoption Process...

We require that the interested adopter come to meet the dog and then fill out an adoption application. We will review the application and then pass on to the dog's foster family (if applicable). We then contact the potential adopter's vet and we will also do a home visit. If all goes well, the adopter signs our adoption contract stating that, among other things, the dog will receive regular vet care and must be returned to us if things do not work out.
