Shelby's Story...
Just look at our gorgeous Husky Mix, Shelby!!! What a beautiful 2 1/2 year old gal she is, and her different colored eyes will draw you into her soul. We rescued Shelby from a high-intake shelter and now we are searching for an consistent pack leader to train her into the perfect companion. Shelby is medium in size and has that higher Husky energy, so she is searching for an active family. Shelby hasn't had an easy time. She's a sweet gal who gets along with other dogs, but needs a dedicated adopter who will have time and patience to teach her basic manners. We know working with Shelby will pay off and she will be your new active best friend. She certainly won't let grass grow under your feet or let your life get boring! Shelby is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested. Shelby works hard to keep her kennel clean and is getting better on a leash everyday as she goes on multiple walks. Not every dog can be perfect, but we know Shelby is smart and very trainable. If you can commit the time to our amazing beauty, please complete an adoption application at We know Shelby will be a great lifetime companion for you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shelby, a Evansville Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
